We’ve been protecting buyers since 2004!
Whether this is your first home or seventh—purchasing real estate may quite possibly be the largest financial investment you make in your life. Most of us wouldn’t try a new restaurant without researching it first, and that only costs about $40; you wouldn’t buy a house without learning everything you can about it first, right? For nearly two decades, the professionals at Top To Bottom Services have been helping homebuyers make smart real estate decisions with Home Inspections in Maryland, Virginia, and DC, and we want to do the same for you!
What our team can do for you!
Our commercial and home inspections are performed to the InterNACHI and State Standards of Practice, meaning you get a 500+ point Inspection for your soon-to-be home! We will be inspecting the property from “Top To Bottom”—get it?—and will be looking at:
- Roofs / Gutters
- Driveways / Sidewalks
- Fences / Retaining Walls
- Electrical System
- Foundation / Framing
- Siding / Trim
- Porches / Decks
- Walls / Doors / Windows
- Furnace / AC Units
- Garages / Carports
- Grading / Landscape
- Attics / Insulation
- Kitchens / Bathrooms
- Plumbing
- Appliances
Our goal is to provide you with all the information needed to make smart real estate decisions, and here is how we do that:
- We will be on-site for around 2 to 3 hours.
- If the home is 6,000 sqft or larger, we may send a second home inspector, but that’s free!
- If it’s visible and accessible, we’ll inspect it.
- Our Inspector will check-in with you after each area of the home to tell you what they found.
Are you an “info-addict”?
So are we! That’s why we have the most add-on services available to you out of any other inspection company in the DMV!

Do home inspections check building code compliance?
It is important to understand that a home inspection is meant to check “serviceability” of the home and its components; it is NOT meant to check for building code compliance. Due to the fact that building codes in Maryland, Virginia, and DC are constantly changing and may vary based on jurisdiction, it’s not possible for a home inspection to verify that the property is code compliant. The home inspector might deem the home “serviceable” even though it does not meet current codes.
